Students learn to read music by intervals. They focus more on the distance between notes, melodic line, and harmonies then on the individual notes names. This allows for speedy sight-reading and a larger repertoire early on in the learning process. Note naming is a by-product. Advanced theory including sonata-allegro form, jazz chording, and modes

Repertoire is hand-selected by teacher and student to suit current and long-term goals

Includes Hanon and-or Czerny for technique
